American, Carol Corke lives in the rural countryside in the state of Texas. The arid beauty of cactus plants, wild aloes and juniper trees make for a playground of natural beauty for this native of colder climes. Originally from the Great Lakes state of Michigan, where towering pines and lush green grass competed with turquoise waters, Carol is able to appreciate the contrasts of nature. Having developed an early passion for writing, nature is her muse, the vault of the sky stretching over the cathedral of creation where she worships. Having respect for diversity, Carol strives to highlight the variety of the human condition, hoping with words, to bridge gaps of cultural difference and promote understanding and education. Taking great pleasure in travel, she writes about her experiences in exotic locales. Having lived in Europe, the world at large now feels like home, and all its citizens members of one extended family. Carol is married to man talented with both his craft and his mind, and blessed by the love of a devoted dog. Their love and support of her art make life sweet indeed. Through joys and loss alike, she has grown, and hopes to continue doing so. Even in pain, there is a bittersweet benefit, and Carol is always looking and listening.
